Shelia Eddy
A convicted murderer, Shelia Eddy, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years for the murder of her friend, Skylar Neese. Eddy and Neese were both 16 years old when they became best friends. However, their friendship began to deteriorate in the months leading up to Neese’s murder.
Eddy became jealous of Neese’s new friends and felt that Neese was replacing her. She also began to spread rumors about Neese and make threats against her. On July 6, 2012, Eddy and her friend Rachel Shoaf lured Neese out of her house under the pretense of going for a late-night swim. Instead, they drove her to a remote area in Pennsylvania and stabbed her to death.
They then buried her body in the woods. Eddy and Shoaf were arrested a few weeks later after Shoaf confessed to the murder. Eddy initially denied any involvement, but she eventually pleaded guilty to first-degree murder. She is currently incarcerated at the Lakin Correctional Center in Mason County, West Virginia.
